Okay, so I am a day late with my Thursday Thoughts post. And I could have done this last nigh. However, Sampson by Joyee Flynn came out yesterday and I so had to read it. There are a few of her series that I abso love. The resistant Omegas being just one.

But my thought was Tags vs. Categories. Which do you choose? How do you use them. And I still don’t get it. I think.

I was so excited when I figured out how to make the categories function as a menu and be able to track straight to the subject idea I wanted. I was having a hard time finding previous posts that I wanted BUt I think I have that now. And I may have to make a few more because I am not so sure “Jake and Nat” is a tag, or a category?

Maybe the tag for them would be “Manlove”? I mean is that how a tag is supposed to work? How many tags should you have? How many should you use? Could you overwhelm yourself and go tag-crazy because you create new tags with each post?

How do they work anyways? I didn’t understand how they are supposed to help you search. It kind of boggles my mind. But, in my search for the differences between tags and categories I found an explanation on how to create the little “more…” button line seen in some posts. The one that allows the viewer to see the synopsis, the beginning or the write-up of a post and the click in the button, word, link to get to the rest of the post. That could potentially make a few posts easier. Hide, for want of a better word, graphic language.

Only problem now, I have to figure out how to make that work. I swear I saw it somewhere, now I have to go look. This is what, 5 years into the making and I am just taking the time to learn the tricks of the trade.
