ABC’s Ask and Answer -Part 4

Part 3

Part 4

Danen watched his commander stalk over to the rest of their team. Oh this was going to be a rough assignment. He would have to take a minute and call his father. He would have talked to Drew, but the brat had taken off, and if Danen remembered who all was in his brother’s pack finding him would not be easy.

“Hey Bobby, can you tell Drew to knock off the drama?”

Bobby looked at Danen, “Drama?”

“Yes drama pup. He didn’t need to take off like that. I have a feeling he knew who Kip was.”

Danen watched as Bobby’s pert nose scrunched up. Kissing it he gave the pup a quick squeeze, “I’ll see you when I get back. Stay out of trouble.”

Drew headed to his team as they began gathering their stuff. Grabbing his coat as Tyson tossed it at him, he fell in line behind his commander. “Hey Kip, I need to call my dad before we leave.”

“Your dad? Oh you mean Elder Mahigan?”

“Yes. I need to know what he knows and find out if I am supposed to interfere.”

“Interfere?” Kip stopped, causing Danen to sidestep quickly or risk running into the man.

“Yes, you do know Drew is an Omega right?”

ABC’s Ask and Answer -Part 3

Part 2

Part 3

Danen looked at his commander and then Bobby, “Where did Drew go?”

Bobby fidgeted shuffling from foot to foot, looking at the alpha and then Danen.

“Come here.” Danen reached for the young pup, tucking Bobby under his shoulder. “Where is Drew?”

Bobby cuddled into Danen, “He left, he said to tell you. I don’t think I smell like him anymore.” Peering up at Danen, “Do I?”

Danen looked down into the large chocolate eyes staring up at him through thick lashes. “You didn’t get all the smell off. Kinda hard when he owns the place.”

“umm. hmmm.”

They both turned to the alpha, oops. “Who you are smelling is my brother. We should go talk there is a lot that you need to know about him.”

Kip, was rocked back by the news. His subordinates brother? His mate had been this close all of this time? Did the council know? “We’ll talk on the way. We have a last mission to go do before we get our release orders.”

Kip turned leaving Danen and the young pup with anxious eyes to talk as he went to tell the rest of his team they were leaving. His mate’s name was Drew. Was is short for Andrew? He’d have to find out. At least he now had a name to go with the wolf he had met three years ago while on a mission for the council. He would have to call them, but first the mission and all the information he could get from Danen.

ABC’s Ask and Answer -Part 2

Part 1

Part 2

Bobby quickly tilted his head, tongue-tied unable to either look at the Alpha or talk. “I… I…”

Kip raised his hand to touch the lesser-wolf’s neck, “I’m sorry. I need to know where my mate is.”

Bobby shook his head looking for Drew’s brother, who was thankfully coming his way.

“Is there a problem?” Danen asked once he reached  his commander and the pup. Bobby was a good kid and there shouldn’t be any problems. Danen was not prepared for Kip’s piercing green eyes to zero on him and then for the man to start sniffing him.

“Who have you been near?” Kip demanded. Somehow, someway he would get an answer and find his mate. Well, Kip sighed, he’d find out who his mate was. Finding and keeping his mate would have to wait until after this last mission.

Danen looked back taking in Kip’s expression, the only person he’d up close to recently was his brother. Eyes widening he looked at his commander, oh crap!

ABC’s… Ask and Answer (part 1)

Captain Kurtrick “Kip” Wolk-son walked into the little bar and diner. The lights were at a level that did not hurt his sight, but allowed him to see through out the room. He saw his team sitting in a corner, backs to the wall watching over the other patrons. They had not noticed him yet, but he knew they soon would. How they would accept the upcoming assignment he didn’t have to ask. How they would accept him in the civilian world, he had yet to ask.

Kip tilted his head, a scent wafting through the perfume of a bar full of shifters, caught his attention. He knew that scent, had smelled it a few years ago. His wolf woke up, raised its head, Mate! Looking around, giving no outward sign he looked the bar patrons over, he did not see who went with that smell, though honestly he would only know the owner in wolf form.

Drew hid in the kitchen, his wolf begging to go back out and roll on the owner of that scent. He had seen Kip before the man had realized he was there and hid in his kitchen. This was his bar and he was hiding. His wolf side said get out there, his human side said “no way in hell”. The man was military. He did not want military leading his pack, how would a macho military Alfa show the lesser wolves and assorted shifters he had allowed on his land compassion? He already had his brother and his team coming back from the military, but they were the enforcers, the protectors. The ones who needed to be military trained. His Alfa needed to be compassionate, put the pack first. Take time out of a busy schedule to put the little ones at ease, how could a trained killer do this?

Drew needed to leave before the man/wolf started looking for him. Turning he saw Bobby, “Tell my brother I had to leave really quick. But make sure you don’t smell like me before you do.”

“Okay boss.” Bobby watched Drew leave and then went to tell his brother. What he hadn’t expected was almost 7 feet of Alpha-male in his face.

“Where is my mate?”

Dates and Dentists

Kael sat in the too small chair, in the too bright room waiting for his brother to get out of the back room. He still couldn’t believe that at 24 Oliver refused to go to the dentist. Kael slouched, leaning his head back. Could be worse he guessed, he could be here with his cousin’s kids. Again. Man, those were devil children, pun of that was Devil was his cousin. And speak of the Devil.

“Uncle Kael! Uncle Kael!” Two twin voices piped up loudly as the twin 7 year olds ran through the front door barreling into him.

“Umph!” Kael caught the boys, letting them climb up on his lap. Distracted by the scent clinging to them and following them into the small reception room.

“Oh! I’m sorry!” Kael looked up to see the source of the delicious smell. She was… not wolf? How could his mate not be a wolf?

“I’m sorry. They got away again.”

“Uncle Kael!” Kael looked down at the insistent child on his lap.

“Don’t interrupt. It is rude.” Kale told the small boy.

“But Uncle Kael!” Brandon quieted at Kael’s look. Kael turned his attention back to the woman in front of him.

“Don’t worry. I am sadly used to these two running amok.” Reaching out a hand towards her, “Kael…”

“Mr. Morgan!” The hygienist came through the back way. “We need your help, Oliver is having issues.”

Kael put the boys on the floor, looked at his mate and sighed. “I have to go.” He would have to find her later. Devil should know, but Oliver needed him. His brother would pay for this. Sighing again, Kael looked at Oliver, furry and with a huge grin on his face, if the tongue lolling out of his mouth was anything to go by. “What did you give him?”

“Only the general anesthesia.”

“Come on pup.” Kael patted his leg, hoping to get his attention, what he wasn’t ready for was how quickly Oliver plowed in to him. Not steady on his feet, Oliver scrambled along the floor past him heading towards the reception.

Hearing a thud and a loud “oomph”, Kael ran towards the waiting room to find his mate being tongued to death by his brother and the twins both shifted.

Claire looked up to see the man who was her mate in the doorway, laughing. “Your brother?”
