Share Your World 2015 – Week 12

When was the last time you sat on a park or garden bench for more than ten minutes? Describe the occasion.

I have no clue. It has been so many years since I just sat. I am usually standing watching my child or watching my niece. Sitting and relaxing just doesn’t happen.

Would you ever be interested in observing a surgery or do you turn away when the nurse brings out the needle?

I do not like needles. I turn away. And since I really do not like blood, yeah no surgery watching for me. I can handle dealing with the minor scrapes on kids, I have to. I have to suck it up as the adult, but if I don’t have to take care of it? I am so outa there.

Where’s your favorite place to take out-of-town guests?

What are those?

If you had an unlimited shopping spree at only one store, which one would you choose? Why?

Best Buy- Gaming Computer, gift cards… ( I so would load up on those) Computers, printers, electronics, movies, games….

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

ummm… I actually don’t have anything. I am just glad I am not soo tired.

I am MIA

I am soo  MIA this week. I ran across a picture that spawned an idea and now I do not have it in writing….

That and I managed to get hurt through pushing myself to hard. Stupid exercising…

I’m bringing Frank back. I finally found his other half. I just have to tell Matty. 😀

I will get the SYW’s done next week and a new post.

Thank you for sticking with me. Sorry I fell behind this week. 😦

Share Your World 2015 – Week #10

Another Monday, and another exciting Share Your World!  Candles, money, memories and sleep. Just a few questions to get the week started.

When you lose electricity in a storm, do you light the candles or turn on the flashlight? How many of each do you own? I have both. Just don’t ask me how many of each and I am sure the flashlights need new batteries now that I think about it. We also have a little faux fireplace that you can light a little can in. It gives off a little light.

You are given $5,000 and the chance to exchange it for one of two envelopes. One envelope contains $50,000 and one contains $500. Do you make the trade? Why or why not? I wouldn’t make the trade. For the simple fact that the $5,000 could help me so much more than the $500. Now if I didn’t need the money, I would trade it in. It’s free money.

What’s your first memory? I don’t know. Much of when I was younger is a complete kaleidoscope and while they are not all bad, sadly it seems the bad ones hold the greatest impact, or they tinge the good ones with grey making them not so happy. The first one’s all swirl around kindergarten, my grandparents farm, my aunt and uncle’s farm and horses and sheep.

What do you do if you can’t sleep at night? Do you count sheep, toss and turn, or get up and try to do something? Toss and turn? No, if I truly cannot sleep I will try reading, sometimes I fall back asleep sometimes the alarm goes off and I suffer from needing to finish the book.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? My post for Absolute Write is up. It’s on Ireland, while I am not totally pleased with it I am happy that it is done. As for looking forward to things this week? My son’s band concert is tomorrow and it will be fun to go listen and see how they have improved. 😀

Drawing Boundaries: How to Keep Your Blog from Complicating Your Life

Some good advice to use with all social media. In this day and age trying to keep the medias separate is getting harder as the program writers are defaulting the setting to share everything with every other social media. I would like to choose what is shared not have to go find some obscure button on a lost page to click and say do not connect facebook to twitter or wordpress or instagram. It’s all in the email addresses and now Google is connected to everyone. I just want the option of keeping my personal life separate from my professional life.

The Daily Post

My name is Elizabeth Urello, and as far as I know, I am the only Elizabeth Urello in existence. This is great for branding purposes, but terrible for anonymity: I am highly Googleable. I often think that I would take more risks online if my name were, say, Elizabeth Jones. But it isn’t, so I’m pretty careful about what I choose to share online.

Share Your World Week 5

Another Share Your World – Week 5.

For everyone who reads these- Thank You!!

Do you prefer shopping or going to a park?

Um…. How about neither? I really don’t like to shop I find it very stressful and the park? I find that stressful too. One too many people and the other well either too many or not enough. Seems I can’t be happy any which way. Actually for either, I need a personal living blanky(the two legged teddy bear kind) to hold on to. I can and do do both, I have to, I am a parent. It just takes a lot of telling myself I’ll be fine in order to go do it.

If you were a shoe, what kind would you be and why?

A slipper. We stay inside and are nice and warm.

What’s the story behind a time when you got locked out?

Oh, one of my finer moments. Just a quick recap. Locked the keys in the car, had the kid and the work van keys outside of the car. (lucky me)

I used to leave one of my house windows unlocked just for this reason. (not the smartest)

Drove the van home, pulled down the screen, opened the window and shoved the kid through. Thankfully by now he was big enough to go unlock the front door. (it took a little bit of time and a whole lot of swearing on my part and giggling on his)

Grabbed the spare key and played switch aroo with all the vehicles to get home finally.

I think we went out for lunch that day. I soo was not cooking. 😀

Do you prefer eating foods with nuts or no nuts?

No nuts. I actually like all my food not mixed together. It just doesn’t taste right all mixed up. 😀

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

oooo… hmmm at the moment nothing I truly wish to share 😉
