Well I found a theme I like. I just need to go and fix everything. And archive and archive….

Once I have all that done it will be better. I have  few things to do..

Yeah one piece done and a few more to go. I have to go find some pics.

Thank you for sticking with me while I find my theme and start back on my journey of writing. I really thing I was suffering from a broken heart as I finished books last year. So many of my luvs left. Let’s make this next year better. 😀

Exercise will not make me look like a Super Model

I hear that one more time I will scream.

You will look like a super model if you keep exercising.

Um, no I will not. I have genetics against me on that one. I am not 5’11” and no amount of exercise will get me to that height. I don’t know how many ‘fitness’ gurus I have listened to on social media or followed or talked to or accidently ran across. But I will never in a million years have the body to rival a Super Model.

What I will have is a shape made for me. Hopefully I can be happy with it. With exercise I will unfortunately get my ass back. Not everyone wants a big butt, but in order to loose weight and slim down, my butt firms up. It doesn’t match the fact that the top half of my body does not put on muscle. Yes slimming down will give me definition but that is it.

Genetics and diet and exercise regimen make the difference between how a person looks when they are at their fittest. Telling people, impressing upon young minds that through perseverance they will become this idealistic figure is wrong.  What the Public/Media figures need to say is that you will become, healthier and feel better all around through exercise. That not all shapes put on muscle well and that sometimes what you see in the fitness magazine is not what you will get.

Now that being said… Palease quit posting before and after pics where it really really looks like someone has been surgically altered. I’m sorry, but boobs are not naturally that round. Or high or perky…

I do appreciate the posts where you can 1: tell it is a real person, 2: see that the timeline they have given you is realistic.

I’m sorry I am a single mom. Unless I want to get 3 hours of sleep I do not have the time to exercise for 2 hours a day plus work plus travel plus be a parent. I do have time for a quick 20 minutes before my day starts and I can use part of my lunch. But by the time I am done for the night, I am done. Literally.

I in no way am against anyone saying ‘get in shape’ it will do you good.

It is simply the ‘super model’ comparisons that irritate me, and maybe hurt a little because I know the reality that I will never be that tall and in poor shape. If memory serves me, many of those models are underweight and not in shape. Don’t quote me. I could be wrong.

Broken toe and all that

I promise I will get all caught up.

I’ve been playing Minecraft.. No more to say there.

But I broke my toe doing something really stupid, stepping over a box on the floor. I didn’t step far enough. I am now mostly healed and getting back into the swing of cardio. Nasty stuff that, that cardio.

Believe me this post is all about excuses. My sister was gone for a week to a conference and I have both kids the majority of the time, plus unplanned visit from my parents…. No more to say there….

Well I have missed all my posts the last month. Missed my muse and then some. I am still sitting on Frank and Matthew’s story. I am having a hard time getting the right words for Matthew’s side. And I am a great big chicken liver and cannot seem to get the courage to ask the owner of the pic if I can use his pic seeing as it was his caption to the picture that found me Frank’s other half. … Did anyone else get dizzy with that one?

Though, funny funny, if anyone recognizes it. Jamie’s Jelly is in process. Don’t know where the story line will go. But I have high hopes for it. 😀

But, well after all my waffling around I am ready to get back to work.

Plate is full, and my skills at time management, well I just haven’t developed those yet. ha-ha 😀 ItWorks, writing, (stalking) um not… um admiring beautiful people, 40 hour desk job, full time single parent… exercising… Anything else? Playing games (just Minecraft, though I do have Hearthstone on my phone now. I had to reset my Apple password. Stupid) bothering people, wait I’m to old to be doing that…. wondering when my Keeper will find me… oh who knows what goes on in the crazy mind of mine.

I am revamping the blog site. Adding a published works page with all my books and as soon as I figure it out a PayPal button. I need someone website savvy.

Being an author is not cheap. I have to pay my illustrator in Starbucks coffee. 😀 And getting copy rights to use images is not cheap either. All for the good and enjoyment of writing and sharing my craziness with others.

My Weekend on the Military Diet

Day 1, Day 2, Day 3

I remember looking at the list on http://www.themilitarydiet.com and going no way. That is not enough to eat. I’ll be starving. Needless to say I did cheat on the the first day, a serving and a half of Kettle corn. The second day? Well it was National BYOC day at 7 – Eleven. I just had to go get a Slurpee. The little ones did the BYOC, and I? Well I bought a small Slurpee and could not finish it. It was too sweet after eating unsweetened food for the past 5 meals. That night? Well I didn’t substitute, and maybe I should have but I had a little bit of Ranch to dip my Broccoli in. I do not like the flower part of the broccoli. And the third night? I had a tablespoon of chocolate with my icecream.

All in all? I lost 3.6 pounds. Not the 10 lbs I was told was possible. Could I have lost more if I had been exercising? Probably. I am doing this again this weekend and over the next four days I am watching what I am eating. Trying to stay within the same calorie range as I ate over the weekend. Slowly loosing weight. And drinking tons of water. And the horror of all things: Exercise.

I’m a week late, but at least I’m here. Broken toe, holidays, crazy life… and a post for the Absolute Write Blog Chain. Yes I write this chalk full of excuses because I have em. 😀

What type of music relaxes you the most or do you prefer silence?

Oh. It completely depends on what is going on. If I am highly agitated I will of all things throw on the soundtrack from Batman, oh lord the name escapes me. The one with the Riddler and Two-Face. I have a very eclectic range of music ranging from Techno to Enya and Celtic instrumental. Now on my Youtube (J Elyzabeth) page, well… It’s even more of a hodgepodge because I was making assorted annoying (I was being a brat) play lists for a Twitch channel I was watching.

Show us a two of your favorites photographs?  Explain why they are your favorite.   If you are not a photographer, think of a two favorite scenes in your life and tell us about them.  I am sad. I cannot post them as they are photos of two men I respect. I need their permission. But let’s say the photos have become a muse for me as I see them in answer to the writer’s block that I have been suffering.

What is your favorite tradition? (family tradition, church tradition, whatever)

I honestly do not have one. Things have become so fluid with all of us slowly making our own families.

If you could go back and talk to yourself at age 18 what advice would you give yourself?  Or if you are younger than 25 what words of wisdom would you like to tell yourself at age 50?

Do not get a credit card!! Your grandpa is correct. Save your money and do not go out with the next seven guys you meet. They are not worth it. Take the post in England and do not get married!
